Chris has ignited the “nature spark” in thousands of people of all ages.

Nancy is a long-time resident of San Luis Obispo County. She retired from the horticulture field 11 years ago and now enjoys birding, painting, and working with several different charity organizations.

Marcella is a lifelong birder who is excited to be back in her home state of California after a 30-year career in higher education, most recently serving as department chair and professor of French and Comparative Literature at Florida Atlantic University. She and her husband live in Atascadero and have two teenage sons. In addition to volunteering with the Morro Coast Audubon Society, Marcella also dedicates much of her time to the Atascadero public schools. She currently serves as Vice President of Communications (newsletter + social media accounts) for the Atascadero Middle School Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO), and as School Site Committee Chair/District Representative for Atascadero High School. Marcella's favorite adventures take place in nature, and combine her love of birding with her passion for photography, art journaling, writing, and hiking.
Morgan Nolan
Treasurer
Morgan has been a birder since her first ornithology class in college where she learned to quickly identify a dozen ducks through their disarticulated wings, a skill that she discovered is almost useless in the field. Thanks to the Morro Bay Bird Festival her birding has vastly improved.
Sherry Paul
Marketing Director/Volunteer Committee
Sherry is a marketing and branding expert with a deep passion for wildlife conservation and nature. After leading an advertising agency in San Francisco, she traded her corner office for the African bush, the rainforests of South America, and the dizzying heights of the Himalayas to write marketing plans for NGOs protecting endangered species. Her latest adventure is a bit closer to home: rebranding the Morro Bay Bird Festival—because birds deserve a bit of marketing magic, too.
Susie Reddy

Susie is an avid birder and loves to share this passion with fellow nature nerds. She also loves reading, hiking, listening to podcasts, and spoiling her Sheltie.
Bob Revel

Bob is retired after 30 years of Electronics Engineering in the Aerospace industry. He began birding in the 70s and traveled with his wife, Robbie and his binoculars to many places in the world but loves our local birding with the best birders in the state!! He enjoys using his computer skills for managing the data bases required for our MBBF planning and our web based app Bobolink.
