Volunteer
Morro Bay Bird Festival volunteers are vitally important to the overall success of this very popular 5 day event. Examples of duties may include; registration, attendee check-in, sales, hospitality, speaker introduction, trip-starters, set up/take down, signage placement and much more. There may be opportunities to volunteer before the festival as well. The choice(s) will be yours.
In exchange, we offer you a unique opportunity to be part of the bird festival. As an incentive, 6+ hour volunteers will be offered
- free registration* on November 3, 2024, 8am PT (one day following opening registration day)
- post-festival "volunteers only" birding adventures

Volunteers will receive a festival t-shirt!
Please Note: We order T-shirts on December 1, 2024. It is quite possible that volunteers signing up after that date may not receive a T-shirt.
Volunteer Form
Filling out this form will put your name on the volunteer email notification list. If you volunteered for the 2023 or 2024 festival, there is no need to complete this form; we have your information and we will be contacting you prior to the 2025 festival registration date. Expect a follow-up email with instructions on how to sign up for specific tasks/shifts in mid-October, 2024.
